About us

At Wealden Osteopaths, we believe that the body has a natural tendency towards good health, given the right circumstances. Our job is to remove any obstacles to good health, and encourage the body to heal itself.

Osteopaths use their hands to correct imbalances in the body, and steer the patient towards ideal health. Using our knowledge of anatomy and physiology, we examine each patient individually, treating globally, and looking for the root-cause of a patient’s problems. We aim to treat the person, not the symptoms.

jamesUsing a variety of techniques, including cranial osteopathy, every treatment is tailored to the needs of the individual patient. We have a caring, attentive and highly professional approach to your well-being, with emphasis on your long-term health.

Osteopaths are primary healthcare practitioners, who are required by law to be fully qualified and professionally registered in order to practise in the United Kingdom and use the title ‘osteopath’.

James Pickering is an honours graduate of the European School of Osteopathy in Maidstone, Kent. Trained in all aspects of osteopathic medicine, he treats patients of all ages. He would be delighted to talk to you about osteopathic treatment and how it can help you.

Josie Waters is a graduate of the European School of Osteopathy, as well as a sports massage therapist. She combines techniques from both fields, including cranial osteopathy, to provide safe, effective and enjoyable treatment, for aches and pains all over the body. More recently, Josie graduated from the Osteopathic Centre for Animals, and when away from the clinic she specialises in treating horses and riders, helping them both to reach their goals.
